Account Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for the management of sales and relationships and ensures that annual sales target in the assigned portfolio is achieved. Works to satisfy customers’ needs and requests, respond to their queries in a timely manner and aspire to deliver a positive customer experience.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Generates sales revenues for the assigned portfolio of accounts in line with agreed annual sales targets.
  • Sets up annual sales targets based on past trends, current and forecasted business opportunities in consultation with Line Manager and works to achieve the same.
  • Plays an integral role in new business pitches and holds responsibility for the effective on-boarding of new clients.
  • Responsible for the development and achievement of sales through the direct sales channel.
  • Focuses on growing and developing existing clients, together with generating new business for existing as well as new products being launched from time to time.
  • Writes business plans for all current and future tender business.
  • Acts as the key interface between the customer and all relevant divisions.
  • Guides sales team in areas of sales conversion, documentation, etc.
  • Understands customer needs in terms of prices and technical requirements.
  • Negotiates with customers on prices and contractual terms and provides feedback to the Line Manager.
  • Maintains an awareness of sales and other business developments amongst competitors and passes on relevant information to immediate superior.
  • Coordinates with the Pre-Qualification team for timely and accurate submittal of PQ documents.
  • Coordinates with the Supply Chain team for effective and timely execution of order deliveries. Updates customers about order status.
  • Provides support to Credit Control Team in collecting outstanding dues.
  • Provides periodical sales reports to the Line Manager.
  • Updates all data related to sales activities, projects phases and customers in the CRM and maintains the information accurate as per line manage guidelines.

QUALIFICATION & SKILLS

  • Native Arabic speaker and an Engineering Graduate with at least 3 to 5 years of experience in relevant industry with a proven track record.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Previous knowledge of CRM
