Metal vs Non-Metal Piping Solutions: Which Is Best?

Learn about the advantages of non-metal piping solution such as corrosion resistance and lightweight versatility of non-metal options like PVC and composites, contrasting with the metals pipes. Navigate the intricate trade-offs and factors at play in this elemental choice that shapes industries and infrastructure worldwide.

At Corys Piping Systems, we believe that little actions add up to big change. Sustainability is at the core of everything we do, from the way we produce our products and solutions to the day-to-day business operations of the company.

We recognize our commitment to fighting for climate action on a regional and global level, in line with the UAE’s dedication to addressing environmental concerns and integrating sustainability into its national agenda.

With the Conference of the Parties (COP28) due to be held in Dubai later this year, the importance of creating a roadmap towards a greener and more resilient world is becoming ever more important for businesses to invest in.

This is something we take very seriously and understand the importance of contributing to the bigger picture, helping to secure the communities of tomorrow by providing energy-efficient, environmentally friendly products and services. We champion innovation to create these highly engineered solutions that encourage more responsible consumption and production.

Our plastic pipes are carefully calibrated from inception, selecting the right raw materials right through to manufacturing, product use and end-of-life disposal. Our polymer pipes and solutions guarantee the highest performance and durability whilst offering a lower product environment footprint.

And because of this rigorous selection, testing and finely tuned end-to-end process, there is less waste to dispose of. In fact, 99.5% of production waste is either reused or recycled through appointed vendors, therefore reducing disposal to the landfills.

It’s worth noting that our thermoplastics are specially engineered to minimize/resist the effects of corrosion too, which means that the sometimes-harsh industrial processes and chemical substances that can cause piping to corrode won’t be an issue.

Everything we do is done with a low carbon footprint in mind. The manufacturing and delivery of our products in the UAE is all carefully planned with our logistics and supply chain partners in order to reduce carbon emissions.

That’s not where our contribution starts and ends, however. Our internal systems are equally as stringent to ensure sustainability isn’t just something we commit to outside of the office. Simple initiatives such as providing communal, rather than individual bins, help to minimize waste, while getting rid of plastic water bottles and cups and encouraging glass as an alternative is now common practice.

We are constantly striving to do more as a company to make a difference. That’s why we’re proud to be ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) certified. As an internationally recognized framework, this certification identifies Corys Piping Systems as being an environmentally sustainable organization to all our customers, suppliers and external stakeholders.

As we move into the next decade and beyond, one which is going to be further underpinned by environmental concerns and minimizing our impact on the Earth, our commitment to sustainability is the most important and rewarding aspect of our business.
